Did you know that June 23rd is International Women in Engineering Day? It is a day when we proudly highlight all the female engineers who push boundaries every day and pave the way for future generations of women in technical professions. At Colas, we are proud of our female engineering colleagues who not only achieve outstanding results on projects, but also selflessly share their knowledge with young people. This year, in March, we organized Speed ​​Networking for female students of the University of Sjever and the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering – a unique opportunity for female students to hear first-hand what it means and what it is like to be an engineer. Throughout the year, we “open the doors” of our construction sites and are happy to accept students for internships. And we are especially proud that our colleague Ljubinka Sever, head of the Profit Center Sjever, was nominated for Engineer of the Year this year – as an inspiration to future generations of young women who want to pursue a career in construction. On International Women in Engineering Day, as well as every other day, we celebrate the diversity and expertise in the engineering world and as our slogan says - we open the way for new opportunities.
